Finding Rawvelousity – Day one…

I feel great!  Was it only two days ago that I felt so overwhelmed and out of control?  What made the difference?

  1. Getting sick of being out of control.
  2. Stepping out of the victim mentality.
  3. Getting my priorities in order.
  4. Taking care of myself so that I am able to help others.

Action.  Action.  Action.

I went back and read my own Just for Today category posts…  Wow, they really work!!

Check this out from JFT1:

This day I choose to remember that heaviness and sluggishness will hinder me from reaching passionately for life:  whether it be walking away from that donut in the breakroom, turning off the negative media drone, or eliminating the clutter from my home.  Whatever is dragging me down I choose to eliminate. I choose to add in the things that are worth my time and energy.

Today, I choose life…

So, today I’m a Yes WoMan… :D

I’m saying YES to putting my priorities in order:

Started the day with the motivational book I’m reading right now, The Purpose Driven Life. Have you read this book?  What did you think?? (I, personally, don’t agree with everything Rick Warren says in this book, but it is definitely helping me to get focused!)  I’m on Day 5, and the ‘Question to Consider’ for the day is: What has happened to me recently that I now realize was a test from God? -Oh man… tons, lol.

Saying YES to taking charge of my weight:

STarting weight: 176 :Still down 8 pounds from before I went raw but up 18 pounds from last fall…  (I will start inches posting on Saturday.) Goal weight is around 155…

YES to taking charge of my food:

Food Log, mmmmm…..

AM-
32 oz filtered water

1/2 cup coffee w/ stevia

My many supplements that I’m taking to get all the bottles out of the
cupboard before we move, lol.  Counts as packing??  :D

Smoothie:  3 leaves kale, 1C frozen cherries, 2 frozen bananas, 1C almond milk, 1T cacao powder, 1t chia seeds, 1/2t bee pollen, 1 squirt of hemp oil, 1/4 apple and small handful of grapes thrown in ’cause they needed to
be used, lol.

SNACK-
Sliced Cucumber in 6oz water

LUNCH-
Spinach Apple Walnut Salad: Self explanatory, lol…
Green tea (cool with Stevia)

SNACK-
Parfait: Sliced banana, 6 dried bing cherries, 1 t cacao powder sprinkled on
w/ big dollop of maple cashew cream (RFRW p.267), cinnamon
and a sprinkle of fancy shredded coconut.  This was by far the best
treat of the day!  :D

DINNER?-
Interesting thing… Somebody loves me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I came home to a box from Natural Zing full of yummy raw food goodies!  Lucky me!  :D   Who could it be from??? Hmmm… I have my suspicions…  Well this box probably kept me from indulging in less nutritious gnoshings readily available around the house!!!!! Here’s what I did eat;

Raw Vegan Sour ‘Cream’ and Onion Chips: Could be addicting!
Gone Nuts! Mesquite Pod Maple Walnuts (1/2 bag/ 2 servings!)
One cucumber sliced in 6oz water
1/2 serving of baked cheetos (What??!! My DD19 left them laying on the counter. How desperate am I??  LOL)

Dinner is obviously the area I need the most work in!  I had no plan, and that’s what I ended up with, no dinner.  Chalk this one up to a learning experience… What do you plan for your dinners?  It has to be easy because I am not in the mood to get into major prep after being away from home for almost 11 hours…

YES to taking charge of my exercise and/or movement:

Starting out useful, lol.  I spent the first hour after I got home outside cleaning up/ organizing the property now that the animals have all moved on to Cali without us!  Major cardio going for part of the time while I drug heavy things, moved piles, collected tools from all over the property and rolled up the longest hose you’ve probably ever seen!  Not bad for Day one.  Would love to hit up 10 min of Hip Hop Abs, but running out of time fasttttttt!  What do you like to do that is fun and non-standard exercise type stuff??

YES to taking charge of my getting ready to move:

This has been one of the issues I’ve been avoiding.  It does appear that we may be moving soon.  Very soon.  Still no orders, only verbal encouragement, lol.  Santa Barbara here we come!  I think.

  1. Cleaned off the area next to my computer, which is a HUGE  catchall spot.  Found a home or circular filed every thing there.
  2. Collected my favorite books that are stacked in various places throughout the house and put them all in one box marked “Fav Bks” but not taped because **sheesh** I may need to get to them!  :D
It’s not much, but much better than what I had done yesterday, lol.
Here’s the BIG QUESTION OF THE DAY:

What things in your life are you taking charge of and saying YES to?
