Supplements: What I’m taking these days…

While I have been researching and using supplements for years, I tend to be intuitive in which ones I take.  Like most people, there are hectic times in my life when I don’t feel like taking supplements and/ or forget for weeks at a time.  But for now, these are the ones I’m taking lately on a daily basis, who they are made by and why…

(You may notice that several of these supplements are made by Young Living Essential Oils- I have been a distributor with this company for over 5 years because I love their products and can only find this level of quality consistently through them.  If you’d like more information about the Young Living products either for retail or wholesale, please contact me.)    https://www.youngliving.org/freshblessings

5 Mushroom Formula by MushroomScience

  • Agaricus blazei, Reishi, Shiitake, Coriolus PSP
  • I decided to try this based on a video that David Wolfe put out that I watched this week about Longevity and Immunity.  In it he makes 3 points:
  1. Take medicinal mushrooms (the 5 above)
  2. Eat clean food
  3. Get grounded: Walk barefoot on the earth, take a shower and/ or get a grounded pad.

Garlo (Odorless Garlic) by Pierson’s Natural

  • I’m taking this because I heard somewhere that garlic keeps the mosquitos from eating you alive, and we’ve just moved to Louisiana, lol…
  • Helps prevent heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and improve the immune system.

Milk Thistle by Whole Foods

  • Protects the liver from damage caused by viruses, toxins, alcohol, and certain drugs such as acetaminophen
  • Has strong antioxidant properties and has been shown to inhibit the growth of human prostate, breast, and cervical cancer cells
Fun fact**  Mushroom Poisoning:  Milk thistle has also been used as a preventive and/or antidote to poisoning by deathcap mushroom (Amanita phalloides). Animal studies have found that milk thistle extract completely counteracts the toxic effects of the mushroom when given within 10 minutes of ingestion. If given within 24 hours of ingestion, the herb significantly reduces the risk of liver damage and death.http://bit.ly/vSE8c
