Raw Foods: Change your mind… <~click here

Pretty simple concept:  Fruits and veggies are essential health foods.  All the potions and powders out there will not measure up to what living fresh food will do for your energy and health.


Sooooo…  How do you actually put this into practice?  I mean– anyone can eat an apple, right?   But how many days have you gone without your apple a day?!

Why IS it so hard to follow the straight and narrow road?


There are 2 main reasons why you find yourself going back to those other foods.. you know, the ones that are literally killing you little by little.
  1. Whether you realize it or not, you are in a relationship of sorts with the foods you put into your body.  Do the foods that you lovelove you back?  If so, wonderful!  You’ve been choosing thoughtfully…  If the foods you love don’t love you back, then why are they your favorites?  It’s time to rethink what your values are.  Surely you value your life more than processed franken-food?! You deserve a healthy relationship!
  2. Once you have a healthy relationship foundation built, it’s time to take a look at another side of this story.  You have most likely been taught to eliminate bad things.  Quit smoking, lose weight, stop drinking, etc.  I propose that these ideas have negative connotations to them.   When you consciously eliminate certain things, you have a tendency to feel deprived… even if you are not in the least deprived!  (Chalk it up to our very technical subconscious mind)  It is much more effective to practice abundance thinking.  Focus on adding in things that you want in your life. You will undoubtedly find yourself running out of room for the unhealthy things.  Don’t tell yourself what you can’t have bread this week, for example, somply make it a point to include 2 fruits and a big salad today.  If you still have room for bread– go for it.

Get the good stuff in…  the rest will work itself out over time…

    I like this approach that you have suggested, I agree that the best way is to start adding in more raw and fresh foods – veggies and fruits, especially. Don’t look at it like “I can’t eat….anymore.” You will feel resentful and that’s a quick road to failure.

    Start by adding in a salad at lunch and dinner and an apple for a snack in the afteroon.
    Then just keep adding in more and more raw and I think you’ll see the other foods begin to disappear.
