Raw Recipe for Refreshing Rest <~click here
Ever been exhausted– only to lay awake when you try to sleep?
This recipe is for you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ingredients for a good night’s sleep:
- Dinner
- Exercise
- Last hour wind down
- Slightly cool room
- Non-restrictive PJ’s
- Absolute dark
The first two ingredients are very important, but should be incorporated early rather than later. Add in the last four ingredients and let it all rest for atleast 7 hours.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remember, your body’s digestive/ internal clock system works best when you give it:
- Simple fruits in the morning
- The most complex and nutritious meal for your lunch
- A lighter meal for dinner
When you disregard this pattern and have the more complex meal for dinner– your body will have to use it’s resources to digest instead of rejuvenating, healing and cleansing as it’s designed.
I have found a direct correlation between raw foods and sleep needs. The higher percentage of raw foods in my diet, the less sleep I need and the more energy I have despite less sleep!
Fun fact: Get a couple of hours of sleep before midnight and you will be much more likely to experience deeper, healing sleep!
**Next up, tomorrow: Eating raw and immunity…
