Just for today

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: ….And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed: to you it shall be for meat.

Genesis 2: 28& 29

How wonderful it must have been to have lived in the garden… I know only the peace of my own little garden.  It must have been magnified many times over!  There IS something about gardens that calms me and centers me: helps me to put life into perspective.  The cycle of life.

Life.  Death.  Today I choose life.  I want an infusion of freshness!  A shot straight to my veins!  I want this for you, too.  Let’s embrace life today:

  • Breathe deeply: Let’s get out and get some fresh air, move, live.
  • Drink deeply: water, coconut water, fresh juice, herbal tea, cucumber . Eat lightly: Why weigh ourselves down.  Freshness.  Fruits, veggies, smoothies
  • Forgive: Bitterness & frustration only hurt us.  Let it go. Let it go. Let it go. Visualize: What is it that you want to be doing with your life?  What talents do you have?  What were you born to do?  What small step can you take today to work toward that ideal?
  • Rededicate to the things that are most important in your life.  We can get so caught up in greasing the squeaky wheel that we miss the beautiful and most important things in life.  For me these things are:

1. My relationship with the Master Gardener :D

2. My relationships with my family: hubby, kids, parents

3. Sharing the blessings with others as they are revealed to me…

None of these goals will be met if I just attend to the things that demand my attention.  This day I choose to remember that heaviness and sluggishness will hinder me from reaching passionately for life:  whether it be walking away from that donut in the breakroom, turning off the negative media drone, or eliminating the clutter from my home.  Whatever is dragging me down I choose to eliminate. I choose to add in the things that are worth my time and energy. Today, I choose
life…
